Captain on the CRJ 900/700, CRJ200 and EMB 120 for scheduled domestic and international FAR Part 121 airline. Previously served as First Officer on CRJ 700 and EMB 120.
As a professional pilot advocate, I strive to exemplify aviation safety, professionalism and the importance of maintaining a personal code of ethics.
During my tenure at ASA, I have been recognized as an ambassador and a key speaker for the FAA’s 2009 Call-To-Action Safety Road Show in Atlanta, GA. During this event we discussed the importance of professionalism, risk assessment and how it contributes to aviation safety. As a result of these road shows, the FAA and participating airlines developed additional safety policies to identify and reduce risk associated with pilot experience and proficiency.
later that year, I participated in the creation of special programs at ASA. I was an instrumental part of drafting the FAA mandated Pilot Observation Program in an effort to identify and monitor certain risk factors with low experience aviation professionals. This resulted in the creation of an Observation Policy for low experience pilots and pilots with past training issues. The policy allowed us to identify risks early on and develop a pilot specific training program to bring pilots to optimum proficiency.
In 2007-2009 I sat on the weekly "Departure-zero" panel as a participant to recognize and recommend changes to operational practices that would increase on-time performance. As a result, numerous changes and practices were implemented which included Crew Snack Boxes, Auto-Boarding, ACARS Performance/Analysis, ACARS Delay Code Reporting, Gate Agent Briefings, and so on.
Executive Vice President January 2001 - December 2010
Elected by peers to represent over 45,000 member pilots for numerous passenger and cargo airlines on the Associations Executive Council. Served to administer the policies and budgets of the association. Advocate and custodian of the ALPA Code of Ethics.
Appointed by the President to represent ALPA as an ambassador of the ALPA Code of Ethics for the FAA's 2009 Call-To-Action Safety Road Shows. During this road show I was one of three moderators (ALPA, Air Line, FAA) of these large assemblies, engaging the crowd to discuss industry practices and shortcomings in professionalism and safety. We gathered significant feedback from the attendees and developed recommendations to the FAA regarding methods of identifying and reducing risk associated with pilot experience, proficiency and overall professionalism.

Elected Vice Chairman by the Master Council Board of Directors for four (4) four year terms. Teamed with airline management on many projects. Numerous duties included: the oversight of the Council-to-member communications; serve as Ex-officio member of numerous committees and Air Line Pilots Associations Board of Directors. My main passions included Professional Standards, Safety Programs, and Communications. I ale maintained oversight and planning of Master Council budgets. In 2006 and 2007 I received intensive media training in and became the master council's press point of contact.

Chief Flight Instructor of FAR Part 141 & 61 flight school. 141 program coordinator to local FAA. Managed instructor pilot staff and student progress. Performed FAA required check-rides. Top performing school within one year of operation.
Banner Tow Pilot May 1993 - September 1997
Banner tow pilot flying highly modified aircraft (C182, C152, C152 Taildragger) on FAA Low Level Waiver. Sorties flown up to 8 hours along the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut coastlines including the Hudson River Corridor.
