Aviation Flight Technology
You'll notice the emphasis on communication and literacy in the broader topics.
I would emphasize on basic math, physics, reading/writing as well as a good focus on human behavior and psychology. Understanding human behavior is an important focus as a pilot in a "crew" setting.
A good math core and ability to read and absorb information and facts is helpful as a pilot. You'll find yourself memorizing large amounts of information in a short time frame when you are learning new complex jet aircraft as an airline pilot or corporate pilot.

Why is the framework in the cockpits of Russian aircraft painted blue?
Answer by Thomas Zerbarini:
The Russians did a lot of research in the 1950's on this and found that the turquoise color would assist crews in staying alert and calm, especially during high stress situations. You'll also find that McDonnell Douglas also used this color in their cockpits on the DC-7:Why is the framework in the cockpits of Russian aircraft painted blue?
